WHAT TO EXPECT

An expert, caring approach to women’s health

We can diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, but our One-Stop Gynaecology and Breast Clinics are great examples of the dedication and expertise you can expect.

Both clinics give you fast access to leading consultants, tests and your results, all on the same day. If you need treatment, we’ll provide you with a plan tailored to your needs, offering minimal disruption to your life and the confidence to move forward.

This gives you a good idea of what to expect from a one-day clinic.

01

Consultation

You'll sit down with a dedicated women's health specialist in one of our comfortable private facilities. They'll listen to your questions and concerns, ask about your medical history, give you a detailed physical examination and talk you through the day’s other tests.

02

Initial tests

You'll have a series of personalised tests to identify or rule out common signs of relevant health conditions. In a gynaecology clinic, this starts with blood and urine dip tests. In a breast clinic, a specialist will take images of your breasts with a mammogram or an ultrasound, depending on your age and condition.

03

Further diagnostics

In our gynaecology clinic, you'll have a transvaginal ultrasound to assess your pelvis, and possibly a colposcopy or hysteroscopy to examine your uterus. In our breast clinic, you may have a biopsy taken that day to complete what's known as a triple assessment.  It’s the gold standard for diagnosing breast cancer

04

Results

In both clinics, your consultant will discuss your results and imaging with you on the same day and answer any questions you may have. They might recommend more tests or imaging or, if needed, begin discussing treatment options with you in the same appointment.

Whatever the outcome, rest assured you'll come away with a clear picture of your health and your best options for moving forward.
