Embryo donation

Embryo donation is when a couple who've been through IVF treatment have frozen embryos in storage that they no longer plan to use. Rather than discarding the embryos, they can donate them to others going through IVF or to medical research.

The process

What to expect
Our experienced, caring teams are here to give you care tailored to your specific fertility challenges, drawing on their experience of treating more than 2,000 couples every year.

Our aim is to make sure you feel fully informed at every stage, and comfortable with your chosen pathway at every step.  You’ll benefit from a holistic and considered approach, supported by our skilled consultants, nurses, embryologists and counsellors.

01

Initial consultation

Your consultant will talk to you about your medical, family and lifestyle history and explore your fertility journey so far. You can ask us any questions you have about the comprehensive range of fertility treatments we offer, including IVF, egg freezing and egg sharing and treatments for low ovarian reserve.

02

Tests and scans

We’ll do everything we can to gain the best possible picture of your reproductive health. For women, this includes an AMH blood test to check your ovarian reserve, an AFC scan to count egg-producing follicles, and a transvaginal scan,  to look for conditions such as endometriosis or fibroids. For men, we offer a semen analysis to assess sperm number, movement, and shape.

03

Follow up and next steps

Because our labs are in-house, you get results in as little as 48 hours and the security of knowing that everything you need to plan your future is in one place. Your consultant will follow-up with your results, offering counselling with specially trained fertility experts should you need it, and discuss next steps. We offer the full range of fertility treatments and aftercare to give you the best possible chance of having a baby.
