At The Portland Hospital, our state-of-the-art EOSedgeTM low dose X-ray machine offers advanced scanning and is particularly suited to children with musculoskeletal conditions.
Our consultants also have use of robotic-assisted surgery tools (MAKO and Globus spinal robot) and custom implants for joint replacement surgeries which help to deliver more precision and a faster recovery.
If surgery is required, our orthopaedic and spinal centres are based across London Bridge Hospital, The Princess Grace Hospital, The Wellington Hospital, The Lister Hospital and The Portland Hospital, our centre for paediatric orthopaedic and spinal care.

Diagnostic centres
Before any treatment can be recommended, you will need to have a diagnostic scan. At HCA UK, we have the full range of orthopaedic scanners from X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT, SPECT and Dexa.
It will be after your initial appointment, you’ll be sent for a scan, if required. We have over 20 diagnostic centres which means we can offer appointments on the same day of your appointment.
