About

Dr Richard Antbring is an experienced Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine, specialising in the assessment and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and exercise-related medical problems. He works with both recreationally active individuals and high-performance athletes, helping patients return to activity safely.

Dr Antbring graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his specialist training in Sport and Exercise Medicine within the London Deanery. As well as this he holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine and a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, both completed with distinction.

His clinical approach emphasises diagnosis and rehabilitation, using non-surgical treatments wherever possible. Dr Antbring regularly performs diagnostic ultrasound during consultations and can arrange advanced imaging, including MRI and CT scans. He places value on patient understanding and shared decision-making, working closely with physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and podiatrists to deliver structured rehabilitation programmes.

Dr Antbring has worked extensively in elite sport, providing medical care for West Ham and Fulham Academies. He has a particular interest in high-intensity and strength-based sports, including HYROX, HIIT, CrossFit, and weightlifting, bringing practical insight to the care of athletes in demanding disciplines.
