We’re part of HCA UK’s London Bridge Hospital campus, a few minutes’ walk from London Bridge station with convenient access by tube, rail and bus.
Although parking is limited, there’s an NCP car park just a four-minute walk away.
Our on-site team of GPs and consultants offer comprehensive health screenings, advanced diagnostics, and consultations in a range of medical fields such as women’s health, orthopaedics, digestive diseases, endocrinology, dermatology and neurology services. They can also offer onward referral where needed to our main site at London Bridge Hospital.
At The Shard Outpatients, we offer walk-in appointments for our on-site private GP service, as well as next-day appointments with one of our specialist consultants, many of whom are leaders in their field.
In many cases, we’ll be able to review your scans or test results and provide a diagnosis the same day - so you leave with clarity and a clear next step.

The Shard Outpatients FAQs
Following a remote or face to face consultation, we aim to diagnose and treat you in a single visit to The Shard Outpatients. We’ll coordinate your tests, assess your condition and provide medication or minor treatment on the same day (where medically possible). If your case is more complex, we’ll ensure you have an onward plan for your health that may involve further treatment - at London Bridge Hospital or nearer to home.
Our friendly patient support team can help you find departments, locate your next appointment, help with insurer queries, find cafes and restaurants nearby, and more.
To keep our spaces safe, we ask all our patients to come to The Shard Outpatients unaccompanied. However, if you need assistance on your visit, carers are allowed. You’ll need to prearrange this with our concierge, or your consultant’s secretary. Our nurses will be here to support you at all times during your visit.
Please be aware that while your diagnosis may start at The Shard Outpatients, you may have to visit other departments such as endoscopy or cardiology, which are a few minutes walk from the centre.
The Shard Outpatients is home to our on-site pharmacy. Should you need any medication, your doctor will provide you with a private prescription that you can pick up before you leave.
Our clinical pharmacists can also offer pharmaceutical advice and provide information on a range of other health issues including drug information.
