Initial consultation
Following your referral, you’ll have an appointment with one of our specialist hepato-pancreato-biliary consultants. You’ll be able to talk to them about any symptoms you may have – such as abdominal pain, fatigue, jaundice or nausea, and they’ll take a full medical history to help guide the next steps.

Imaging and diagnosis
To fully understand what’s causing your symptoms, we may recommend diagnostic imaging or blood tests, including MRI, CT, ultrasound or liver function testing.
Most of these tests can be carried out on-site, with rapid turnaround times to ensure the process moves along as quickly as possible. Your results will be reviewed by our multidisciplinary HPB team, to ensure you receive the treatment recommendations best suited to your needs.

Treatment planning and surgery
Once your diagnosis has been confirmed, your consultant will talk you through all treatment options suitable for you.
