Dr Stephen Keddie

Dr Keddie completed his medical degree at Newcastle University and went on to undertake specialist neurology training across a number of London institutions including The Royal Free, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square, St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital. He undertook his PhD in Neuroimmunology at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the University of Oxford.

Dr Keddie works as a full time NHS Consultant Neurologist at Barts Health NHS Trust and became neuromuscular departmental lead in 2026.

He runs a busy general neurology clinic at Newham University Hospital, seeing patients with a wide range of neurological disorders such as headaches, pain, dizziness and blackouts. His specialist clinic at the Royal London Hospital sees patients with peripheral nerve and muscle disorders such as CIDP, Guillain Barre Syndrome and Motor Neurone Disease (ALS). He also works closely with the haematology team at St Bartholomew's Hospital, providing expert management of patients with neurological complications of haematological diseases, including after novel therapies such as CAR-T and stem cell transplants.

Dr Keddie has published extensively in the field of neuropathy, in particular in inflammatory and immune nerve disorders, haematological diseases and novel treatments.
