Raveen Kaur Sandher

Miss Raveen Kaur Sandher was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2020. She is fellowship trained and has a highly specialised practice focused on andrology, male infertility and urethral stricture disease, with particular expertise in microsurgery and genito-urethral reconstruction.

Miss Sandher completed her urological training in 2019 before undertaking a competitive Andrology Fellowship at the internationally renowned Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. This advanced fellowship furthered her expertise in male infertility, complex andrological surgery and reconstructive urethral procedures. She has also played a leading role in introducing Optilume treatment at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Hospitals, contributing to innovation in the management of urethral stricture disease.

Alongside her clinical work, Miss Sandher has a strong academic and research background. Her research has focused on spermatogonial stem cells and male infertility, and she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research in 2011. She has published her work in peer-reviewed journals and previously held an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship, undertaking research funded by prestigious organisations including Cancer Research UK, the Royal College of Surgeons of England and The Urology Foundation. 

Miss Sandher is deeply committed to education and training and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She serves as an Educational Supervisor to King’s College London medical students as well as postgraduate doctors, and is passionate about supporting and inspiring the next generation of surgeons.
