Mr Tavakkolizadeh is a highly experienced orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon, with a particular focus on minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgeries. He has completed extensive training, including two fellowships in sports medicine and upper limb surgery, and has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon at King's College Hospital since 2008.
His areas of expertise include shoulder and elbow surgery, wrist arthroscopies, upper limb fractures, and soft tissue sports injuries. He also has experience in treating nerve compression neuropathies such as cubital and carpal tunnel syndrome.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Tavakkolizadeh is actively involved in research and teaching. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and is involved in postgraduate teaching and training. He is also an organizer and faculty member in several educational and skills courses nationally and participates regularly in GP and physio teaching programmes. He has been invited to speak at several international meetings, demonstrating his standing as an expert in his field.
