Professor Claire Hopkins is a Consultant Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgeon with clinical interests in skull base surgery, sinus disease, allergies, and nasal deformity. She graduated from Oxford University Medical School with a First Class Degree in Physiology and Distinction in Medicine before completing extensive ENT training in London. She undertook a Fellowship at Guys' and St Thomas' in Advanced Rhinology and was appointed Consultant.Professor Hopkins is heavily involved in research and was recently appointed Professor of Rhinology at King's College London. She has written international guidelines on the management of sinusitis and nasal polyps and is involved in developing new medical and surgical treatment options for nose and sinus conditions. She sits on the ENT-UK patient safety panel at the Royal College of Surgeons and previously chaired the UK Commissioning Guidance Group for Sinusitis. Professor Hopkins is the current President of the British Rhinological Society and has published numerous papers and book chapters.
