Marlene See is a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with specialist interests in breast and microsurgical reconstruction. Ms See completed her plastic surgery training in London and East Grinstead. Before embarking on her training, she carried out research on 3D imaging and its application in facial analysis, for which she was awarded a Masters in Surgical Science. She completed her training with a fellowship in microsurgery at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London, in 2015, and has published on the subjects of breast reconstruction, facial analysis, and lower limb reconstruction. Ms See's current practice involves breast reconstruction following mastectomies, with a focus on microvascular breast reconstruction, correction of congenital breast deformities, and aesthetic breast surgery. She is also a core member of the multi-disciplinary team for the Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer, assessing and advising patients who wish to pursue risk-reducing mastectomies on their options and timing for breast reconstruction. Ms See is the Scientific Chair of the London Breast Meeting since it started in 2014. This annual meeting attracts over 40 international speakers, over 500 delegates, and is broadcasted worldwide. Ms See also regularly lectures on breast surgery techniques for the European Masters in Breast Surgery and has been invited to present at international conferences.
