Dr Khushboo Sinha is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in skin cancer, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. She practises at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where she is Clinical Lead of the South East London Tertiary Specialist Melanoma Service.
Dr Sinha’s career in skin cancer has been shaped by experience across some of the UK’s leading cancer centres. She trained and worked in haemato-oncology and melanoma at The Royal Marsden and The Christie in Manchester, before undertaking a dedicated post-CCT fellowship in skin cancer at St John’s Institute of Dermatology. This has given her broad expertise across the skin cancer pathway, including the assessment of suspicious lesions, complex skin cancer management, surgical treatment and long-term surveillance.
Her clinical practice is underpinned by a commitment to evidence-based medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration and personalised care. She has a particular interest in ensuring continuity throughout the patient journey, from prevention and early diagnosis to treatment and lifelong follow-up. She is also actively involved in skin cancer research, clinical trials and service development, with a focus on translating advances in research into improved patient outcomes.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Sinha is Course Director and Honorary Senior Lecturer for the Clinical Dermatology MSc at King’s College London, contributing to postgraduate education and the development of future dermatologists. She also serves as Honorary Secretary of the British Society for Skin Care in the Immunocompromised, reflecting her wider interest in the management of complex skin cancer in high-risk patient groups.
Through her private practice, Dr Sinha aims to bring the principles of leading cancer care into a dedicated specialist service, offering comprehensive skin cancer assessment, treatment and surveillance with an emphasis on clinical excellence, continuity of care and skin preservation. Her approach recognises that effective skin cancer care extends beyond treating an individual lesion to understanding each patient’s history, circumstances and long-term skin health.
