Mr Jarnail Bal is a Consultant Neurosurgeon. He practices at HCA facilities and his NHS base is at Bart’s Health NHS trust.
He is the lead for cerebrovascular (neurovascular) surgery at Bart’s Health. His sub-specialist interests include brain aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations, cavernous malformations, brain tumours, skull base surgery (anterior and lateral), acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, head injury and adult spine surgery
He studied Medicine at the University of Manchester and intercalated at University College London in Medical Physics obtaining a 1st Class Honours. He has completed neurosurgery training in North London. With recognised fellowship training in Skull Base surgery between Barts and Queens Hospital and a Cerebrovascular fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge - one of the highest volume cerebrovascular centres in the UK.
