Mr James White is a Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, The Lister Hospital Chelsea, The Shard- London Bridge Hospital, and Chiswick Outpatient Centre. He is also a founding member at Grosvenor Orthopaedic Partners.

As a highly trained surgeon, Mr White covers all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery including arthroscopy, arthroplasty, and trauma. He uses non-operative techniques where possible and ensures to involve his patients at every step of the decision-making process. When surgery is required, Mr White achieves excellent outcomes. Mr White is especially passionate about providing his patients with the best solution for their particular case, rejecting a one fit all approach.

Mr White qualified from University College Medical School in 2007 before studying Trauma and Orthopaedics on the Northwest London programme. He then went on to complete Shoulder and Elbow fellowships at the world-famous Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London.

Mr White has published extensively in medical journals and presented his work internationally and nationally. He has also co-authored multiple book chapters on upper limb surgery and contributed to the National Guidelines Blue Book for distal radius fracture treatment for the British Orthopaedic Association.
