Dr Gratwicke completed his medical degree at the University of Oxford, where he was awarded a scholarship at Oriel College in recognition of distinctions achieved in neurosciences and pathology. He went on to undertake specialist neurology training across several leading London institutions, including King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, St George’s University Hospital, and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square.
In 2018, Dr Gratwicke was awarded a PhD in Clinical Neurology from the UCL Institute of Neurology. His academic work focuses on developing new treatments for Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing neurological care.
He currently works as a full-time NHS Consultant Neurologist, holding substantive appointments at St George’s University Hospital in London and Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. Dr Gratwicke manages a wide range of general neurological presentations, including headaches and seizures, while also providing specialist care for patients with Parkinson’s disease, tremor, movement disorders, and progressive neurodegenerative conditions.
