Jaison Patel is a skilled and extensively trained specialist in knee surgery, providing comprehensive care for a broad range of knee conditions. His expertise ranges from the management of minor sports injuries and arthritis to complex cases involving failing knee replacements and major knee injuries that require intricate ligament reconstruction.
Mr Patel holds a busy NHS consultant post at Barts Health, based at The Royal London Hospital, where he leads a tertiary complex knee service and serves as the Complex Major Revision Knee Network Lead for North East London. In this role, he manages some of the most challenging knee cases, delivering advanced, individualised treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. He is passionate about high-quality, personalised care and places strong emphasis on clear communication, ensuring patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options so they can make informed decisions and achieve the best possible outcomes.
He is an active member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee and the British Orthopaedic Association. Mr Patel completed his undergraduate medical training at Barts and The London School of Medicine, followed by higher surgical training through the prestigious Cambridge training programme, and further refined his expertise with fellowship training at the renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.
