Elham Asgari is a consultant nephrologist and general physician with extensive training in South London. Elham completed her PhD at Guy's, focusing on the role of the innate immune system in ischemia/reperfusion injury during kidney transplantation. She has been a consultant since 2013, initially working at St George's, and has been practicing as a nephrologist since 2015.In addition to her clinical role, Elham is the lead for audit and governance in her department. Nationally, she chairs the British Transplant Society Standards and Guidelines Committee, overseeing the production of new guidelines in transplantation and updating existing ones.
