Mr Shamil is a fellowship‑trained, double board‑certified Consultant ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon with over a decade of experience. He completed his registrar training in prestigious centres across London, including Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. After finishing his ENT training, he undertook highly specialised fellowships in advanced nasal and facial plastic surgery at University College London Hospital, East Grinstead, and in Sydney, Australia.
He treats a wide range of ENT conditions, including nasal blockage, nosebleeds, sinusitis, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, hearing loss, tinnitus, tonsillitis, ear infections, ear pain, dizziness and vertigo, neck lumps, and head and neck cancer. He is referred complex or revision cases from other consultants, including challenging septorhinoplasties, and advanced or revision endoscopic sinus surgery. He has a special interest in the surgical reconstruction of paralysed face, which includes brow lift, eyelid surgery, facelift, nerve and muscle transfers, neurectomy, and botulinum toxin injection to the face. Within the private sector, he offers cosmetic facial plastic surgery, building on his advanced fellowship training and board certification in facial plastic surgery. By routinely performing complex facial surgery in the NHS, He has developed new techniques for cosmetic surgery. This includes deep plane facelift and neck lift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), browlift surgery, cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty, pinnaplasty / otoplasty (ear pinning), and removal of facial skin lesions.
