Dr Guy Chung-Faye is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive experience across a broad spectrum of digestive disorders. He previously held the role of Clinical Lead for Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer for 15 years and currently serves as Director of Bowel Cancer Screening. His clinical expertise includes gastrointestinal cancers, gastroenteritis, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, dyspepsia, abdominal bloating, and reflux.

He is highly experienced in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and is a nationally accredited Bowel Cancer Screening colonoscopist, achieving a colonoscopy completion rate exceeding 95 percent alongside consistently high patient comfort scores.

Dr Chung-Faye completed his medical degree at the University of Leicester and went on to obtain a PhD from the University of Birmingham for research focused on gene therapy in colon cancer. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and remains actively involved in research spanning inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, and genetics.

Outside of clinical and academic work, Dr Chung-Faye enjoys playing tennis and studying foreign languages.
