Dr Paramit Chowdhury is a Consultant Nephrologist. He graduated from King's College School of Medicine in 1992 before receiving high-quality specialist training at a number of hospitals across London and the South East of England, including King's College, Guy's Kent, and Canterbury Hospitals. In 2007, he completed his training and became a consultant. He leads a number of crucial kidney services across South London and is the clinical lead for renal biopsy. Dr Chowdhury is an active research scientist, particularly in the area of biomarkers for renal transplantation. He was awarded a PhD from the University of London in 2008. His areas of expertise include kidney biopsy, general nephrology, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, renal transplantation, haemodialysis, and pre-pregnancy counselling.
