Mayur Kumar

Dr. Mayur Kumar is a consultant gastroenterologist, HPB physician, and interventional endoscopist with a specialist interest in oesophageal, liver, and pancreato-biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and advanced endoscopy. Dr. Kumar completed his specialist training in internal medicine and gastroenterology in London and the South East, obtaining his Certificate of Completion in 2013. He is a JAG-accredited endoscopist, performing OGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and ERCP. He is also an accredited endoscopist for the National Bowel Screening Programme.Dr. Kumar trained in advanced endoscopy and ERCP at University College London and has presented several abstracts at national and international conferences, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. His ongoing clinical research interests include pancreato-biliary diseases and endoscopy. He holds memberships with the British Society of Gastroenterology, Royal College of Physicians, London, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Kumar is actively involved in training junior doctors and specialist trainees. His clinical expertise includes pancreaticobiliary medicine, inflammatory bowel diseases, endoscopy, ERCP, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), bowel cancer screening, liver diseases, GI cancers, oesophageal diseases, pancreatic cancer, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and bowel cancer.
