Dr Colin Tench is a highly regarded Consultant Rheumatologist working with HCA Healthcare at London Bridge Hospital, in addition to holding an NHS appointment at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He has extensive experience across the full spectrum of general rheumatology, with particular clinical interests in systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory arthritis, gout, and fibromyalgia.
He obtained his medical degree from Cambridge University and completed his specialist rheumatology training at University College London Hospitals and the Hammersmith Hospital. Dr Tench is actively engaged in research, especially studies examining how aerobic exercise influences fatigue and sleep quality in patients with lupus. He also plays an important role in postgraduate medical education, serving as Royal College of Physicians Tutor and Foundation Programme Director at St Mary’s Hospital, London.
