Mr Dominic Davenport

Mr Dominic Davenport is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the treatment of hip and knee conditions, as well as lower limb injuries. He practises at The Sloane Hospital and The Blackheath Hospital, where he is committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care.

His practice encompasses the full spectrum of non-surgical and surgical treatments for hip and knee disorders, with particular expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery. Mr Davenport has a strong academic interest in hip dysplasia management, day-case joint replacement surgery, and optimising patient health prior to joint replacement procedures.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Davenport is an active researcher and educator. He has published widely in leading orthopaedic journals and regularly presents at both national and international conferences. Passionate about medical education, he has received several awards for his contributions to orthopaedic training and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, as well as a textbook for medical students and junior doctors.

Mr Davenport graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School before undertaking higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery across South London. He trained at several renowned institutions, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, St George’s Hospital, and the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre. He also holds a Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath and completed advanced specialist fellowships in knee surgery at Guy’s Hospital and hip surgery at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, gaining extensive expertise in complex joint preservation and replacement procedures.
