Mr Daniel Williams is a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon for Barts Health NHS Trust. He provides both elective and trauma care at The Royal London Hospital, London's busiest major trauma centre, and Whipps Cross Hospital. Mr Williams values evidence-based clinical practise and open communication with his patients.
Mr Williams has specialist interests in trauma, hand and wrist surgery, elbow surgery, and shoulder surgery. He received his medical qualification from the University of Bristol Medical School and completed his Orthopaedic specialty training on the Percivall Pott Rotation in London. After receiving his Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2017, he completed a two-year fellowship at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Australia. He is highly trained and proficient in all areas of upper limb surgery, including trauma, arthroscopic wrist and shoulder procedures, microsurgery, and joint replacements (shoulder and hand). His areas of expertise include complex trauma, minimally invasive wrist surgery, and small joint arthroplasty.
Mr Williams actively participates in teaching and research and is regularly invited as a faculty member on national courses. He also teaches in the QMUL Trauma Sciences MSC Programme. Mr Williams' research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and specialist textbooks. He has also presented at national and international meetings.
