Dr Benjamin Adams is a highly skilled Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with over a decade of experience in the field of medicine. He has a specialist interest in complex Aortovascular surgery and was appointed to St Bartholomew's Hospital in August 2018. Ben read medicine at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ School of Medicine graduating in 2005 with a first-class BSc in Radiological Sciences in 2002 in addition.

His cardiothoracic training was in the London Deanery rotating through St Thomas’, the Brompton, the Heart Hospital and finally Barts Hospital. Dr Adams undertook a period of research at King’s in endothelial progenitor cells as part of his academic foundation training and was Quality and Safety Lead for Cardiac Surgery at Barts from 2019 to 2024. Ben is also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Cardiovascular Medicine at UCL since 2023.
