We use this state-of-the-art technology, including eight da Vinci Xi multi-port surgical robots, across our entire network. It allows us to perform minimally invasive surgery for a wide range of colorectal, upper GI, liver and pancreatic conditions, meaning we’re able to reduce your time in surgery and support a quicker recovery.

The preparation you’ll need before surgery will depend on the type of surgery you’re having, but it is likely to require fasting, bowel preparation and medication adjustments. Rest assured that your consultant will explain everything you need to do to prepare in good time and in detail. You’ll also have lots of opportunities to ask questions.

Yes. For certain procedures, we use the da Vinci robotic surgical system which allows our surgeons to operate with enhanced precision. This is a surgical assistant, and your surgeon will always be in control of the robotic system, so there’s nothing extra to worry about. In fact, you’ll have less time in theatre and a faster recovery than with open surgery.
