Valerio Celentano

Mr Valerio Celentano is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in London with subspecialty interests in colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, with particular expertise in recurrent Crohn’s disease and ileoanal pouch surgery.

He also has a specialist interest in the surgical treatment of deep infiltrating endometriosis. His clinical practice includes the management of benign anorectal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulae and pilonidal sinus, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy.

Mr Celentano graduated in Medicine and completed his general surgery training in Naples, Italy, before undertaking colorectal surgery fellowships in nationally recognised LAPCO training units in the UK, where he gained extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He also completed additional training in the United States and France. At the age of 31, he became one of the youngest surgeons to pass the Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship examinations.
