Dr. Spyros Gennatas is a highly skilled and accomplished Consultant Medical Oncologist, with particular expertise in treating thoracic malignancies such as lung cancer, thymic epithelial tumours and mesothelioma. He has received extensive training in medical oncology, completing his training at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2019, and holds a PhD from Imperial College London in the field of genetic alterations leading to thymic epithelial malignancies. Dr. Gennatas has published numerous articles in prestigious, peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research findings at international conferences in the fields of molecular genetics, quality of life in cancer patients, Covid-19 and cancer, and medical oncology. As the Clinical Lead for the Acute Oncology Service at Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals, Dr. Gennatas is responsible for overseeing the care of patients with acute complications of cancer treatment, ensuring that they receive prompt and effective care. His research interests include the development of novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of thoracic cancers, as well as the identification of predictive and prognostic biomarkers to improve patient outcomes.
