Samantha Anandappa

Dr Anandappa is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist with dual accreditation in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Internal Medicine. She completed her Higher Specialist Training within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery and was awarded a Master's degree in Diabetes and Endocrinology from Queen Mary University of London in 2018.

She was appointed Consultant Endocrinologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2020 and holds an honorary appointment at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. In May 2025, she was appointed Clinical Lead for the Endocrinology and Diabetes Department at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

Dr Anandappa’s clinical interests include the management of complex endocrine disorders and specialist diabetic foot care. She works closely within a multidisciplinary team comprising specialist nurses, radiologists, microbiologists, and surgeons to deliver integrated, patient-centred endocrine and diabetes care.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Anandappa is actively involved in clinical research and has participated in numerous national and international multicentre trials, serving as both Principal Investigator and Sub-Principal Investigator. She is a member of the South London Thyroid Cancer Network and contributes to the multidisciplinary Thyroid One-Stop Clinic at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Anandappa is also committed to postgraduate medical education, teaching on thyroid ultrasound courses and serving on the Clinical Committee of the British Thyroid Association.
