Dr. Rooshi Nathwani is a Consultant Hepatologist with extensive expertise in hepatology, gastroenterology, and general internal medicine. He completed his specialty training in the North-West London Deanery and pursued advanced hepatology training at the Royal Free and Imperial College London Hospitals. He currently serves as the Clinical Lead for Hepatology Early Detection Pathways.
Dr. Nathwani has a strong clinical background in all areas of liver disease, including abnormal liver function tests, fatty liver disease, hepatitis, and alcohol-related liver disease. He has a specialised focus on liver cirrhosis, decompensated cirrhosis, portal hypertension, rare liver diseases, and the early detection of liver damage. His clinical skills include proficiency in Fibroscan and both diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy.
He earned his PhD from Imperial College London and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications on liver disease. Dr. Nathwani remains actively involved in clinical research and is dedicated to medical education, organizing teaching programs, and delivering lectures at prestigious hepatology courses. Fluent in Gujarati, he prides himself on providing exceptional, patient-centered care.
