Dr. Piya Sen Gupta is a Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology and in General Medicine whose NHS base is at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. She sees private patients at The Wellington Hospital's Platinum Medical Centre in St John's Wood, London and at Elstree Waterfront Outpatients (HCA hospitals). She can also offer virtual appointments if suitable. She aims to provide a solution-based approach to an individual's symptoms or problems with a focus on achieving wellness. This involves comprehensive clinical and biochemical assessments of hormonal balance. She encourages shared decision making with patients and uses technology where appropriate including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) to guide treatment changes in diabetes.

She is skilled at using lifestyle medicine and other evidence-based treatments. She has particular experience in the use of gut hormone-based therapies and endoscopic treatments for diabesity, the topic of her PhD. Dr. Sen Gupta is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has received multiple awards throughout her career. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London, Educational supervisor to resident doctors and undertakes regular lectures to doctors, medical students and multidisciplinary colleagues.
