Mrs Hannah Watkinson is a Biomechanical Podiatrist with extensive experience managing musculoskeletal overuse injuries, trauma, and neurological gait conditions.
She qualified in Podiatry from Brighton University in 2004 and initially worked within the NHS. In 2007, she was appointed by the Ministry of Defence to establish and deliver Musculoskeletal Podiatry clinics at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court, a Tri-Service centre providing rehabilitation for both chronic overuse injuries and complex trauma sustained during conflict. During her time there, she served as Clinical Lead Senior Podiatrist, specialising in gait analysis and lower limb biomechanical assessment.
In 2011, Mrs Watkinson moved into private practice across Surrey and Buckinghamshire, and in 2014 became Director of Frontline Podiatry. She provides screening services for Kent and Middlesex County Cricket Club Academies and treats both national and international athletes. Alongside her clinical work, she regularly lectures on gait analysis, podiatric trauma, and sports medicine to podiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
Her clinical expertise includes biomechanical assessment and gait analysis, team screening, podiatric biomechanics, lower limb overuse injuries and trauma, running re-education, exercise-induced leg pain (shin pain), complex foot trauma leading to disability, foot drop and neurological gait problems, lateral ankle instability, and leg length discrepancies.
Outside of work, Mrs Watkinson is a keen sportswoman and plays for Buckingham Ladies RFC at county level.
