About
Mr Peter Hill is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee surgery. He joined the army as a medical student at Cambridge University and he went on to specialise in Orthopaedics on the Oxford, Cambridge and London training rotations. Mr Hill achieved several awards during his training including the Army's Montefiore Memorial Prize and Medal for Excellence in Surgery and the Sir Walter Langdon-Brown Prize
Mr Hill has been the visiting knee surgeon to the Defence Medical Services Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court. He has taken part in tours of duty in military trauma hospitals in the Middle East but has since left the Army to focus on his knee practice and academic interests.
Mr Hill has published research papers and lectured at national and international meetings on bone infection, knee biomechanics and ACL surgery. He has also been involved in clinical trials for cartilage transplantation.
