He earned his Medical Degree from Guy's and St. Thomas' in South London, where he completed his basic surgical training. He subsequently held a post at the renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and spent six months in Papua New Guinea. Awarded a three-year Clinical Research Fellowship at the Institute of Neurology, he studied surgical instrument sterilization and earned a PhD for his outstanding achievements. Completing the six-year neurosurgical training programme on the South Thames rotation, he was appointed Consultant.
