Mr Andrew Goldberg is a leading London-based orthopaedic surgeon with specialist expertise in foot and ankle conditions affecting both adults and children. Mr Goldberg is able to manage 85% of his patients without surgery with the use of podiatrists, physiotherapist, pilates instructors and orthotists. His clinical practice is centred on conservative, evidence-based care, with treatment strategies designed around each patient’s symptoms, functional goals, and lifestyle demands.
Mr Goldberg is fellowship trained and holds senior academic appointments as Visiting Professor of Trauma and Orthopaedics at Imperial College London and Associate Professor at University College London. From 2010 and 2018 he served at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital as a Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon. In addition. To this he is the Chief Investigator of the TARVA Study, which compares ankle replacement with ankle fusion across 17 MHS Hospitals.
His research portfolio spans surgical outcomes, cartilage repair, and regenerative approaches including stem cell therapies. He also pioneered the use of PROPHECY™ instrumentation, enabling ankle replacements to be precisely matched to individual anatomy. In recognition of his contributions to medicine, he was awarded an OBE in 2011.
