Dr. Susan Cleator is a Consultant Oncologist with a sole focus in Breast Cancer, with long standing and wide ranging experience in drug and radiotherapy treatments. Her undergraduate and post graduate training spanned Oxford and multiple units in West London, including the Royal Marsden Hospital. A PhD undertaken at The Institute of Cancer Research/ Royal Marsden on the use of genomic profiling to predict benefit from pre surgical (neoadjuvant) chemotherapy, has left her with a long standing expertise in both these areas and left her well placed to be an early adopter of emerging validated genomic profile tests and genomic targeted treatments.
At her NHS base at Imperial, she assumes principal and co-investigator roles in clinical trials targeting both early and metastatic breast cancer from the point of view of drug and radiation treatments as well as molecular testing. She is involved in the oversight of a several National Trials and has contributed to numerous academic publications. She is Radiotherapy Lead on an academically funded current UK breast radiotherapy trial. She has been a regular presenter over the years at local and national conferences.
