Dr. Simon Hughes is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a focus on Urological cancers such as Bladder Cancer and Prostate Cancer, utilizing radiotherapy for other urological cancers. He trained at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals Medical School, achieving a BSc with First Class honours in Anatomy. His specialist training included posts at The Middlesex, University College London Hospitals, and Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospitals. He also worked in the Imaging Sciences Laboratories at King's College London and the Centre for Medical Image Computing at University College London, developing novel radiotherapy techniques for treating mobile tumours. Dr. Hughes has led several research initiatives and clinical trials, including the ENZARAD Study, and has significant roles in medical education. He is an Associate Clinical Dean at King's College London and the Education and Training Lead for King's Health Partners Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
