Dr Shrilla Banerjee is Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Intervention (Angioplasty and Stenting) . She trained at the University of Birmingham and then completed postgraduate training in London, with General Medical training on the St George's Medical rotation, followed by posts at Guys Renal Unit. Her Cardiology training was completed at UCLH, the Royal Free Hospital, the London Chest Hospital and the Middlesex Hospital.
Dr Banerjee has interests in Aviation Cardiology (assessing pilots for cardiac status for the purposes of their medical licence), coronary artery disease (prevention and intervention), women's health (including pregnancy-related heart issues and reducing cardiovascular disease risk during and after menopause). She continues to be involved in teaching nationally and internationally. Dr Banerjee was elected on to the Council of the British Cardiovascular Society and the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, where she Chaired the Focus Group for Women in Interventional Cardiology.
