Dr Rafal Dworakowski is a leading Consultant Cardiologist with vast experience and knowledge across all areas of general cardiology. He has a special interest in valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and acute and chronic heart failure. He works within a multidisciplinary team of cardiothoracic surgeons, microbiologists, and specialist nurses providing a first-class infective endocarditis service. Dr Dworakowski began his career at the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland, graduating in 1998. He completed his specialist training in general cardiology and started working in London in 2006, where he completed a sub-speciality training in echocardiography, coronary, and structural intervention. Throughout his career, he has published several manuscripts and co-authored medical books, remaining heavily involved in active research. His expertise includes transoesophageal echocardiography, coronary stent insertion, valvuloplasty of the aortic valve (BAV), transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), echocardiograms, IVUS/OCT/PW guided coronary interventions, acute coronary syndrome, coronary artery disease, and heart valve problems.
