Dr Rachael Morris-Jones is a senior consultant dermatologist specialising in adult and paediatric dermatology. She currently undertakes private practice at Welbeck London (Skin Health and Allergy) and London Bridge Hospital at 31 Old Broad Street. Her career includes 31 years in the NHS, during which she held consultant roles at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts.
Her clinical practice covers a wide range of medical and procedural dermatology. She has extensive experience in the management of inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, alongside acne across all age groups. A significant part of her work focuses on pigmented lesions, mole assessment and mole mapping, as well as skin cancer screening and treatment. She regularly performs minor dermatological procedures including skin biopsies, shave biopsies, excision of benign and malignant lesions on the trunk and limbs, curettage and cryotherapy. Additional areas of practice include infectious dermatology, hyperhidrosis, tropical dermatology, paediatric skin conditions, and hair assessment and treatment, including PRP therapy for androgenetic alopecia.
Dr Morris-Jones has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and contributed chapters to major dermatology textbooks, including Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology and Systemic Drug Treatment in Dermatology. She is also the author of ABC of Dermatology (7th edition), 100 Cases in Dermatology, and Dermatologist Tested, a public-facing book addressing common skin concerns.
Alongside her clinical and academic work, she co-hosts The Skinterview podcast series with Dr Emma Craythorne, which explores a broad range of dermatological topics including moles, skin cancer, scarring, allergies, eczema, hair disorders and scabies.
