Dr Paul Scott is a highly acclaimed Consultant Cardiologist based in London, with over 17 years of experience in the field. Dr Scott serves for the NHS at one of London's leading teaching hospitals, King's College Hospital, and is based privately at the London Bridge Hospital and BMI The Blackheath Hospital. He has extensive experience in all kinds of general cardiology problems and is particularly proficient in managing heart rhythm disorders. His key clinical areas of interest include heart failure, interventional treatment of cardiac arrhythmia, treating patients with palpitations and atrial fibrillation, and often carries out procedures such as catheter ablation and atrial fibrillation ablation. Additionally, he offers pacemaker and cardiac defibrillator implantation, as well as cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure patients.
After obtaining his medical degree at the University of Birmingham in 2000, Dr Scott embarked upon specialist training in general medicine at general cardiology in Cambridge and Southampton. His training culminated in a number of cardiac rhythm fellowships at the University Hospital Southampton (where he also obtained a doctorate degree in 2012), the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Hammersmith Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital in London. After being listed as a cardiologist on the specialist registrar in 2012, Dr Scott took up the role of Consultant Cardiologist at King’s College Hospital in 2013.
