Dr Neha Sekhri is a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and managing both inpatients and outpatients with all types of cardiovascular problems.
She has specific expertise in managing patients with inflammatory and inherited cardiomyopathies and heart failure.
She has also specialised in cardiac imaging with a focus on cardiac MRI and also has extensive experience in Transthoracic and Trans Oesophageal Echocardiography.
Her other major interests include the management of angina, valve disease and heart failure.
Professional memberships:
Dr Neha Sekhri completed her undergraduate medical degree in India. She undertook formal cardiology research at Queen Mary University, Westfield and was awarded a PhD for her work on the prognosis of patients presenting with chest pain and angina. This study, which involved the analysis of data from over 10,000 patients has been widely published and has informed national policy decisions.
Her specialist postgraduate training in cardiology was based at Barts Health NHS Trust.
Dr Sekhri was appointed as a Cardiology Consultant to Barts Health NHS Trust in 2012. She is based at Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew’s hospital and at Newham University hospital. She is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary and Westfield College and University College London.
