Mr. Jeremy Antscherl is a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon, dually qualified in both medicine and dentistry. He is a fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in England and Edinburgh. Jeremy is married with two children and is a committed environmentalist who enjoys tending his allotment. He is also a keen cyclist, competing in races in the UK and France. Following the Haiti earthquake in 2010, Jeremy participated in a charity relief mission as the only oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the emergency field.He qualified in dentistry at The Royal London in 1994 and in medicine at Birmingham University in 2001. As an undergraduate, he undertook elective training in Israel and the USA. Jeremy completed his specialist training at Barts and The Royal London, working in one of the premier facial trauma units in the UK. He gained his FDS from the RCS England in 1998 and his FRCS (OMFS) in 2009, and was placed on the specialist register in 2010. Since 2010, he has run his private practice and treats conditions such as wisdom and other complex tooth or root extractions, excision of cysts of the teeth and jaws, excision and reconstruction of cancerous and non-cancerous lesions of the face, oral surgery treatments for conditions like lichen planus, burning mouth, and oral ulceration, and primary and revision facial trauma. Jeremy also manages excision and biopsy of "lumps & bumps" in the oral cavity, lips, and tongue, such as polyps and mucoceles.
