About

Dr Kabir is an NHS Cardiology Consultant and the Clinical Director at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, one of the busiest cardiology centres in the United Kingdom.

He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in 1996. He received his cardiology training in St Bartholomews' Hospital, the London Chest Hospital and the Heart hospital, UCLH.

He gained a PhD in ischaemic preconditioning from King's College London and has published in peer reviewed journals and presented at international meetings. He actively trains junior doctors in cardiology and regularly lectures for professional exams.

He has expertise in all areas of general cardiology specialising in interventional cardiology, regularly performing angioplasty to treat angina and heart attacks. In addition to this he also performs pacemaker insertions for patients with heart rhythm problems. He is also the lead for the local congenital heart disease service.
