Dr Arti Mahto is a consultant rheumatologist who specializes in early inflammatory arthritis, biologic treatment, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. She is based at London Bridge Hospital. Dr Mahto gained her medical qualifications from the University of Wales in 2007 and underwent specialist training at several renowned hospitals in London.
She holds a PhD where her research explored the role of B-cells within the synovium and response to rituximab therapy. In addition to her rheumatology expertise, Dr Mahto is qualified in internal medicine, allowing her to use an integrated approach in her care. She has led a dedicated fibromyalgia project at Whipps Cross Hospital and has been involved in long Covid clinics at King's College Hospital.
Dr Mahto has a passion for teaching and has been involved in local patient groups. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and is recognized for her ability to use musculoskeletal ultrasound to diagnose inflammatory conditions and fibromyalgia.
