Associate Professor Eleftheriadou is a Consultant Dermatologist and Honorary Associate Professor at the College of Medicine and Health, University of Birmingham. She leads Vitiligo clinical services and research for both adults and children, as well as the Home Phototherapy programme, across Walsall Healthcare and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trusts.
She works as a substantive Consultant Dermatologist, managing a full spectrum of skin conditions in both NHS and private settings. Her clinical practice includes the assessment and treatment of eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer, and inflammatory rashes, alongside complex dermatological disorders.
Her specialist dermatology training took place across the East and West Midlands. She completed a PhD in clinical dermatology at the University of Nottingham, focusing on evidence-based practice, clinical trial methodology, vitiligo, and phototherapy, with funding support from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
Since 2010, Associate Professor Eleftheriadou has regularly presented her work at national and international conferences and currently leads multiple collaborative initiatives at both UK and global levels. Her contributions have been recognised with several awards from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the British Association of Dermatologists, and the American Academy of Dermatology.
She serves as a Section Editor for the British Journal of Dermatology and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals, including The Lancet, the British Journal of Dermatology, and JAMA. For more than 15 years, she has delivered invited lectures and presentations worldwide.
Associate Professor Eleftheriadou offers expert dermatological care for patients of all ages, providing evidence-based assessment and management for both common and complex skin conditions with a meticulous and compassionate approach.
