Mr Sulaiman Alazzawi

Mr Sulaiman Alazzawi is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in joint replacement and complex revision surgery. He is based at St George’s University Hospital and the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epsom, where he provides tertiary referral services for complex joint replacement and revision surgery. His surgical practice includes advanced techniques, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery, where clinically appropriate.

Mr Alazzawi completed his basic surgical training in the East of England, obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), followed by an MSc in postgraduate research at University College London. He completed higher specialist orthopaedic training on the Royal London Rotation, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr & Orth).

His international fellowship training includes specialist trauma surgery in Hannover, Germany, and adult reconstruction in Vancouver, Canada. He has also undertaken visiting fellowships at renowned centres, including the Mayo Clinic and Hospital for Special Surgery.

With over 40 scientific publications and book chapters, Mr Alazzawi is actively involved in orthopaedic research and education. He has received awards for research and quality improvement and is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association.
