Mr Stephen Ball is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon based at Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest vascular units in the UK. During his training, he was awarded a PhD by the University of Manchester for his research exploring the role of carotid artery disease in stroke prevention. He continues to maintain a strong interest in research and actively contributes to advancing knowledge in vascular health.
His clinical practice spans all aspects of vascular care, including both open and endovascular (stent) repair of aortic aneurysms, bypass surgery for peripheral arterial disease, and carotid artery surgery. He also specialises in minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins and has recently established a community-based NHS varicose vein service.
As a committed educator, Mr Ball has completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education and is passionate about supporting the development of the next generation of medical professionals. He has also recently completed a course in Digital Transformation in Healthcare at Imperial College London.
Mr Ball is dedicated to delivering personalised patient care across all aspects of vascular health, with a focus on achieving the highest standards of clinical outcomes and patient experience.
