Mr. Sreekumar Sundara Rajan is an experienced Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and the Cancer Lead for Breast Services at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust. With over ten years of expertise in breast surgery, Mr. Rajan provides comprehensive care for both men and women, treating a wide range of conditions, including benign breast issues, cosmetic concerns, and breast cancer.

Specialising in Oncoplastic Surgery, which combines the principles of plastic and cancer surgery, Mr. Rajan offers a full spectrum of breast-conserving surgical options. These include partial breast reconstruction, breast reduction surgery, and breast reconstruction using implants. He is also skilled in benign breast surgeries, such as the correction of gynaecomastia (male breast enlargement), treatment of nipple discharge, and the excision of benign breast lumps with aesthetically discreet or hidden scars.

Mr. Rajan is committed to providing personalised care, understanding the emotional and physical impact of cancer treatment. He offers a complete range of breast cancer surgeries, including lumpectomy, mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and axillary node clearance. Specialising in skin- and nipple-sparing mastectomies with immediate breast reconstruction, he also performs simultaneous surgery on the opposite breast to achieve symmetry. His expertise in partial breast reconstruction enables breast-preserving options for women with breast cancer, helping them move forward with confidence after treatment.

Mr. Rajan completed the prestigious National TIG Oncoplastic Fellowship at Nottingham University Hospital and worked as a Consultant in the North West of England before joining University Hospital Birmingham. As Cancer Lead for one of the largest breast services in the UK, he is dedicated to providing high-quality care while mentoring the next generation of breast surgeons, including national and international surgical fellows.

He was awarded an MD for his research on male breast cancer from the University of Leeds and has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in leading international journals.
