Dr. Satyen Gohil is a specialist haematologist, with a focus on the treatment of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) and Lymphoma. He plays a pivotal role in leading various clinical trials dedicated to these conditions. Dr. Gohil is a prominent member of the Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) multidisciplinary team (MDT), offering valuable expertise and guidance within the national HLH MDT framework. Additionally, he oversees the UCLH Histiocytosis clinic, where he provides care to patients dealing with rare histiocytic disorders like Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Erdheim Chester disease.
Dr. Gohil is actively involved in the NCRI CLL and Lymphoma Science groups, contributing his insights and knowledge to advance research in these areas. His journey in the medical field includes a PhD program focused on developing innovative immune therapies for cancer at UCLH. Following this, he spent two years at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, USA, where he conducted translational research into various aspects, including the tumour microenvironment, clonal evolution, and responses to CAR-T cell therapy in lymphoproliferative disorders.
Dr. Gohil's educational background includes a PhD in Haematology from UCL, which he completed in 2017. He also holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine from King's College London, obtained during the period of 2000 to 2006.
With his extensive academic and clinical expertise, Dr. Satyen Gohil stands as a leading figure in the field of haematology, making significant contributions to research and patient care.
